BER - PI/PT SAFETY/RISK MGMT Schedule:
Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, Monday to Friday POSITION SUMMARY Serves as a multi-disciplinary specialist related to the departments of Quality, Patient Safety, Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Patient/Resident Experience, and Infection Prevention.
In collaboration with and under the direction of the Quality/Risk Director and Quality/Risk Manager will work to provide data and document control for the following areas Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, Risk Management, Patient experience, Regulatory Compliance and Infection Prevention for all inpatient and outpatient services on Berrien and Lanier Campuses.
Conducts quality monitoring, performance improvement and patient safety program oversight.
Assists with regulatory/accreditation compliance for campuses.
Performs risk management activities for campuses.
Ensures that all organization policies and procedures are followed.
Maintains communication between hospital departments, hospital administration, and physicians.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Current RN license in State of Georgia.
Certifications in Risk and Quality preferred and encouraged.
BSN preferred.
Excellent ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of diverse individuals and groups both internal and external to organization.
Ability to lead and develop others individually and as a team, and to be an effective team member.
Ability to adapt to new situations, set priorities, and utilize problem-solving techniques with minimal direction and appropriate collaboration.
Demonstrates strong verbal, written and behavioral communication skills.
Demonstrates current knowledge of patient care, leadership, and management principles.
Ability to operate various equipment (e.
g.
, office, telecommunications, etc.
).
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION Works primarily in hospital setting, primarily daytime hours with flexibility required for meeting schedules, rounds, travel, etc.
but may with manager oversight and approval work remotely.
Moderate amount of time in office setting or meetings with extended periods of sitting, alternating with moderate amounts of time inpatient care areas.
Walking, standing, and sitting.
Lifting is occasionally in excess of 50 lbs.
May occasionally require long, irregular or flexible work hours.
Likely to be exposed to blood/body fluids, including infectious diseases.
Considerable mental effort to assess, plan and make or recommend decisions in complex environment.
Physical functional capacity for healthcare workers as defined by the Saunders Method (very heavy).

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
